Shopping for a cheap holiday deal is not the only way to save money when you travel abroad another thing that many people neglect is the credit and debit card bank charges , if its not your first time going abroad than you most likely know what i am talking about coming back from the holiday and going through your bank statement and you see charge after charge off all kinds cash withdrawals charges so called fees , interest charges. All of these add a good sum to your holiday cost which you dint really plan and makes the next trip abroad much harder. Santander's credit card also offers 0% sending fee and 0 cash withdrawal fee the APR when paid in full its a bit higher to 27.9% but it still works as a good deal, not to forget that this card by the end of 2010 they have said they will start charging a flat fee for cash withdrawals abroad so is advisable to check with santander's zero credit card.

This is another good credit card to use abroad with 0 % on spending fees and a low 2% on cash withdrawals minimum of £2 its quite competitive specially with the 19.6% APR rate makes saga credit card on number 3

When using the debit card from nationwide abroad you get charged a 2% on loading fee no purchase charges and flat £1 per cash withdrawal try and get this one i think is the best.

First-direct debit card

This debit card will charge you 2.75% load and 2% minimum £1.75 and maximum of £5 per cash withdrawals almost all the other ones are slightly worst than the first-direct . try to avoid these charges.
